Inspired Dance Company is a contemporary dance studio in West Chester-Liberty Township, Ohio. We focus on both outstanding technique and performance excellence specializing in contemporary style of dance with a strong foundation in classical ballet and modern. We have a passion for high-quality, artistic and uplifting dance. Madeleine Brown, Dance Instructor
Madeleine was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and started dancing at 6 years old. While in Philadelphia she trained with Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, The Rock School of Dance and BalletX: Philadelphia's premier contemporary ballet company. Madeleine moved to Cincinnati to attend The University of Cincinnati - College Conservatory of Music, earning a BFA in Ballet. During her time at CCM she studied modern including Graham, Horton, and Cunningham techniques while maintaining a strong emphasis in ballet. Madeleine had the opportunity to perform original roles in both classical and contemporary works as well as soloist roles in classic ballets such as Swan Lake and Don Quixote. Currently a freelance dancer in the Cincinnati area, Madeleine is sharing her experience and passion for dance through teaching and outreach.
Samantha Conte, Dance Instructor
Samantha Conte is a company member of Mamluft&Co. Dance, a modern dance company of professionals based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Samantha received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, Magna Cum Laude, from Ball State University. As a student she attended ACDA and was given the opportunity to perform in her peer’s work, which was chosen as first alternate for performance at the Kennedy Center. Over the course of her dance training Samantha has worked with guest artists, such as Sidra Bell, Rodney A. Brown, Ruka White, William B. McClellan, Jr., and Debbie Blunden-Diggs. In 2012, Samantha was awarded the Monticello Award for Emerging Choreography for her work, Inferno, which was selected to perform in Montreal as a part of Regional Dance America.
Samantha has taught students of all ages ballet & modern for the past few years and is very excited to join the teaching staff at Inspired Dance Company!
Charli Littleton, Dance Instructor
Charli began her training in competitive gymnastics winning two state titles before finding her passion in ballet. She trained at Ballet Western Reserve in Youngstown, Ohio in classical ballet and modern dance under the direction of Virginia Hartman and Stas Kmiec. Charli performed in Snow White and in The Nutcracker as the Sugar Plum Fairy two consecutive years. She also performed in the Lake Erie Ballet Nutcracker, as well as in Appalachian Spring with the Youngstown Symphony and with Opera Western Reserve.
Charli has studied with the Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Met, Indiana University and University of Cincinnati. After a hip injury, Charli chose to attend UC where she graduated with honors in English Creative writing while also teaching dance to students across Cincinnati. Charli’s passion is choreographing and teaching children of all ages the joy of dancing.
Sajen Jones, Artistic Advisor
Sajen has studied and performed classical and contemporary styles of dance from the age of 3. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from George Mason University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance where she performed works by choreographers such as Kyle Abraham, Mark Morris, Stephen Petronio and Martha Graham. She also completed internships with the DeVos Institute for Arts Management at the Kennedy Center and AmeriCorps at Emerald Youth Foundation. She then went on to dance professionally in Chicago with a number of companies including Winifred Haun & Dancers and the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Sajen taught advanced levels of dance in Knoxville, Chicago, and Cincinnati before joining Inspired Dance Company as Artistic Director in 2017. Sajen now resides in Austin, TX and works closely with our team as Artistic Advisor providing artistic direction and choreography for our winter and spring performances.
Elizabeth Ming, Owner & Producer
Elizabeth is the Owner & Producer of Inspired Dance Company. She is passionate about the power of dance to shape and enrich the lives of students through it’s ability to heal and enable artistic expression.
She is also the Owner of Essentia Holistic Center, a holistic healing center co-located with Inspired, and an Adjunct Professor of Communication Arts at Xavier University. Before opening Essentia & Inspired, Elizabeth was a marketing and communications executive for over 17 years in healthcare and consumer products at P&G and J&J.
